Soil Youth Basketball League

A recreational league designed to give participants the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the game of basketball in a competitive, positive environment. The league will be curated into two programs, one for boys Kindergarten through 6th grade, and the other for girls Kindergarten through 6th grade (Play Her Way). While both programs will focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and fundamentals, the league will also provide opportunities for participants to learn the importance of mental health and wellness.

Presale registration opens Friday February 17th at 9am.

Practice begins the week of March 27th and includes a 6 week regular season. Playoffs will begin May 13th. Kindergarten and 1st grade games will be played on lowered rims. 2nd – 6th grade games will be played on regulation sized hoops and court. All games will be officiated by officials, and will follow standard basketball rules.

-Games will be played every Saturday starting from 9AM-4PM (game times based on age group) at Niles High School.

-Kindergarten-3rd Grade will practice 1x a week

-4th-6th Grade will practice 2x a week

-The Soil YBL will run an optional basketball clinic 1x a week - open to all ages of kids participating in the league
